Advertise Your Lead Magnet on Social Media FOR FREE

Today we will talk about what to do if you have a lead magnet, you have a lead funnel, but what you don’t have is a big ad budget.

I totally get it—lots of you bootstrap. In fact, my business for the first two, three years of my business, I didn’t even touch ads. So all of these methods will work completely free. All you need is a social media account on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest.

Instagram

With over 1 BILLION users, it’s no wonder so many marketers are utilizing Instagram as their main source of lead generation. Here are a few ways to put this platform to use:

  • Link in Bio – great if you don’t have the swipe up feature
  • Swipe up – best because, let’s be honest, people can be lazy
  • Direct Message – gives you the ability to connect one-on-one
  • Easy Links – if you are going to post links, make sure they are easy for your audience to remember
  • Carousel Posts – builds suspense and allows people to follow along for the pitch

As you can see, Instagram has a DYNAMIC range of use when it comes to advertising your lead magnets.

Facebook

This is literally a platform BUILT to connect people, so you will find tons of ways to advertise and drive traffic to your lead magnet! Below are some specific ways with examples to help you get started:

  • Messenger – can be used organically or with paid ads
  • ManyChat – allows you to engage with your customer 24/7 and integrates with Messenger
  • Links – you want to make sure your link is EVERYWHERE
    • Cover Photo
    • Personal Profile Links
    • In Descriptions
  • Market Yourself
    • Be active in groups
    • Drive traffic back to your personal page
    • Make sure your link is EVERYWHERE on your personal page

YouTube

YouTube is great because it allows you to get a lot of content out there at once and build a massive (and niche) audience. Here are a few ways to easily utilize this platform:

  • Links – can be added to the description of your video
  • End Cards – can be added to the last 5 to 20 seconds of a video.
    • You can use them to promote other videos, encourage viewers to subscribe, and more
  • Guest Channel Swap – going on someone else’s channel or you go on theirs to cross-promote

Pinterest

Much more of a search tool than a social media platform, Pinterest is a great tool to generate traffic to your lead magnet.

  • Graphics- create something aesthetically pleasing to generate interest and drive traffic back to your site

Email

  • Signature- make sure everything and anything you send out has a link to your lead magnet in your signature
    • It’s an easy way to keep putting the info out there
